The short version: Buy True-Slate through the App Store, use it for your own productions, and don't try to resell or reverse-engineer it. It's provided as-is, with no warranty beyond what Apple and UK consumer law already give you.
These terms are between you and Andy Dodd, trading as True-Slate, an individual developer based in the UK. They apply to the True-Slate app and to this website (true-slate.com).

True-Slate is sold exclusively through the Apple App Store. Your purchase, payment, and any refund is handled by Apple under its own terms, not by us directly. If you want a refund, use Apple's standard reportaproblem.apple.com process.
When you buy True-Slate, you get a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use it on your own devices, for your own film, TV, or documentary productions, for as long as Apple's own terms allow. You may not resell, sublicence, rent, or redistribute the app, or reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract its source code except where UK law gives you the right to do so.
Everything you type into True-Slate — slate fields, shot logs, notes, production names — is yours. We never see it, store it on any server, or have any way to access it. See the Privacy Policy for how the app handles data.
True-Slate is provided "as is." We've tested it carefully, but we don't guarantee it will be error-free, uninterrupted, or fit for every specific production need. Nothing in these terms removes any right you have under UK consumer law that can't legally be excluded.
To the extent permitted by law, we're not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from your use of the app, including lost footage, lost time, or lost revenue on a shoot. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the price you paid for the app.
true-slate.com is provided for information about the app. It may show ads served by Google AdSense — see the Privacy Policy for details. Don't attempt to scrape, misuse, or interfere with the site.
We may update these terms as the app changes. The date at the top will always reflect the latest version, posted at this same URL.
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If any part is found unenforceable, the rest still stands.
